Chana chaat can be an option as a quick brunch when we are busy or a bit lazy and even on holidays. It is healthy too. We can innovate the recipe by adding different fruits and vegetables every time.

Ingredients
  

  • 100 gm Chana / White Chickpeas / Chole
  • 1 Boiled Potato chopped
  • 1 Tomato chopped
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 2-3 Green Chillies chopped
  • 2 tbsp Coriander Leaves chopped
  • 2 tbsp Pomegranate Seeds
  • 1 Onion cut thin slices for rings
  • 1 tsp Ginger grated
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 tsp Dried Mango powder
  • ½ tsp Cumin Powder
  • ¼ tsp Black Salt
  • 1 tsp Chaat Masala
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice
  • tsp Salt

Instructions
 

  • Soak Chana overnight (6 hours). Wash thoroughly.
  • In a cooker, add chana, add 1 tsp salt and 4 cups of water. Boil for 20-25 minutes i.e. till tender. Drain.
  • Take a large bowl, add chana, potatoes, tomatoes, onion, green chillies. Now add ginger,red chilli powder, mango powder,cumin powder, black salt, chaat masala, lemon juice and mix well.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves, pomegranate seeds and onion rings.

Notes

In place of boiling chana in cooker, we can MICROWAVE it for 20-25 mins, till soft and tender. We can also use Black Chana.
