Bread Poha is a quick, easy, and tasty Poha recipe made with bread, onions, tomatoes, peas, spices, and herbs. This recipe is a variation of the popular Indian breakfast - Poha where we use break cubes instead of Flattened Rice (Poha). This easy-to-make dish can be prepared in just 25 mins and goes well as breakfast or a quick snack.

- 6 slices Bread slices
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 1 tsp Mustard seeds
- ½ tsp Cumin seeds
- 1 medium Onion
- 2 medium Tomatoes
- ¼ cup Green peas
- 1 Green chilli
- 1 tsp Ginger
- 8-10 leaves Curry leaves
- ¼ tsp Turmeric Powder
- ¼ tsp Red Chilli powder
- 1 pinch Asafoetida
- 1 scoop Nutrilite All Plant Protein Powder
- 1 tbsp Coriander leaves
- 1 tsp Salt to taste
Cut the bread slices into small cubes. Keep aside.
Finely chop the onion, tomato, green chilli and ginger. Keep aside.
Chop the curry leaves and coriander leaves as well. Keep aside.
Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan. Add 1 tsp mustard seeds and let them crackle.
Add ½ tsp cumin seeds. Stir for 30 seconds.
Add curry leaves, chopped onion. Saute on medium flame, till onion turns translucent.
Add green chilli, ginger. Stir and saute for about 25-30 seconds or till the raw aroma of ginger goes away.
Now add chopped tomatoes, green peas. Saute for 3-4 minutes or till peas are soft.
Add asafoetida, turmeric powder, red chilli powder. Mix well.
Add salt.
Stir and saute this onion-tomato-peas & spices mixture till the tomatoes softens and oil starts releasing from the sides of the pan. Tomatoes should be cooked well, otherwise you will feel the raw taste of tomatoes.
Add the bread cubes. Mix well.
Now add Protein powder. Mix well.
Saute for 5-6 minutes till bread cubes becomes slightly crispy on the edges.
Add chopped coriander leaves.
Mix and serve bread poha hot.
