French toast when hot and steaming, is perfect for brunch, as well as making a delicious cold weather breakfast. Served with a sauce such as ketchup or mayonnaise.
Ingredients (2 servings)
- Bread Slices -4
- Eggs – 2
- Milk – 2 tbsp
- Onion – 2 tbsp (finely chopped)
- Green Chillies – 1 tsp (finely chopped)
- Coriander Leaves – 1½ tbsp (finely chopped)
- Salt – to taste
- Black Pepper Powder – to taste
- Butter – for shallow frying
Method
- In a bowl beat eggs, add milk mix well.
- Add onion, green chillies, coriander leaves, salt and pepper and mix well.
- Gently melt the butter in a frying pan until it starts foaming.
- Dip the bread in the egg mixture to coat it on both sides, and put in the frying pan.
- Fry on both sides until golden brown.
- Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
