Paneer Kasoori Methi

Paneer kasoori methi is a nice combination of creamy paneer tossed with dried methi leaves. Paneer kasoori methi sabzi is a delicious Indian recipe served as a Side Dish.

Paneer in Kasoori Methi

Ingredients (4 servings)

  • Kasoori Methi – 40 gms
  • Onion – 2 (chopped)
  • Oil – 4 tbsp
  • Fresh Malai/ Cream – 4 tbsp
  • Paneer – 400 gms (cut into small cubes)
  • Turmeric Powder – ¼ tsp
  • Red Chilli Powder – ½ tsp
  • Salt – to taste

Method

  1. Clean methi, remove stalks. Wash in plenty of water and soak in water for at least 1 hour.
  2. Now squeeze to remove water.
  3. Fry paneer cubes to a golden brown colour in hot oil and keep aside.
  4. Heat oil, fry onion till translucent, add methi and fry for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, malai and mix well.
  6. Cook for another 4-5 minutes.
  7. Add paneer, mix well.
  8. Serve hot with naan or paratha.
