Honey Chilli Potatoes

Honey chilli potatoes (a little different version) are filled with lots of nutritional value.

It is delicious and easy to prepare at home and kids love them.

Ingredients (4 servings)

For the Potatoes:

  • Potatoes – 2 (peeled & sliced)
  • Cornflour – 4 tbsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • Red Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
  • Oil – for deep frying

For the base:

  • Oil – 1 tsp
  • Spring Onions – 2 (sliced)
  • Capsicum – 1 (sliced)
  • Garlic Paste – 1 tbsp
  • White Sesame seeds – 3 tsp
  • Honey – 2 tbsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • Soya Sauce – ¼ tsp
  • Chilli Sauce – 2 tsp

Method

  • For the potatoes:
  1. In a bowl take cornflour, salt and red chilli powder. Add the sliced potatoes. Mix well till potatoes are coated.
  2. Deep fry in hot oil till golden. Keep aside.
  • For the base:
  1. In a kadai add oil, garlic paste, spring onions. Saute on high heat for 1 minute.
  2. Add capsicum, honey, salt, soya sauce, chilli sauce. Saute for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add deep fried potatoes and sesame seeds. Mix till potatoes are nicely coated.
  4. Honey chilli potatoes are ready.
  5. Serve hot garnished with spring onion greens.
