Bread Rolls

Bread rolls are made from mashed potatoes and water soaked bread slices. These tasty bread rolls are loved by all, when served with green coriander, sweet imli chutney or tomato sauce.

Ingredients( 6 rolls)

  • Bread Slices – 6
  • Boiled Potatoes – 2 (mashed)
  • Dry Mango Powder – ½ tsp
  • Black Pepper Powder – ¼ tsp
  • Red Chilli Powder – ¼ tsp
  • Green Chilli – 2 (chopped)
  • Garam Masala Powder – ¼ tsp
  • Chaat Masala – ½ tsp
  • Chopped Coriander Leaves – 2-3 tbsp
  • Salt – to taste

Method

  1. In a bowl add potato, dry mango powder, pepper powder, red chili powder, green chillies, garam masala powder, chaat masala, coriander leaves and salt. Mix the filling well.Divide the filling into 6 parts and keep aside.
  2. Soak each slice of bread in water for 8-10 seconds and squeeze out water by pressing it between the palms.
  3. Place one filling in the centre of the slice and roll the edges so as to cover the stuffing firmly. Make sure that the edges are well sealed.
  4. Make all bread rolls this way and keep aside.
  5. Heat oil in a kadai, fry the bread rolls till they become crisp and golden in colour.
  6. Drain them on absorbent paper to remove excess oil.
  7. Serve the bread rolls with tomato sauce and green chutney.
