Bread Potato Cutlets made with bread and potato are crunchy and yummy, loved by everyone. These cutlets can be served as party snack, on picnic or as an evening snack.
Ingredients (18-20 cutlets)
- Boiled Potato – 5 (mashed)
- Bread slices – 5
- Green chillies – 2 (finely cut)
- Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp (finely chopped)
- Ginger – 1 inch (grated)
- Salt – to taste
- Garam masala – ½ tsp
- Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
- Oil – for deep frying
Method
- Soak bread in water for 5 seconds and squeeze it tightly.
- In a large bowl add the squeezed bread, mashed potatoes, green chillies, ginger, coriander leaves and mix well.
- Add garam masala, red chilli powder, salt and mix well to make a dough.
- Divide the dough into 18-20 equal parts and shape them as cutlets.
- Heat oil in a kadai, when the oil is very hot drop the cutlets in the oil. Deep fry till they are golden brown in colour.
- Remove from oil and place on an absorbent paper to remove excess oil.
- Serve hot with coriander chutney and sauce.
NOTE:- To make them crisp, roll the cutlets in suji, sesame seeds or bread crumbs before frying.
