Bell Pepper Masala

Bell Pepper masala is very easy to make. It is very healthy and delicious too. In this recipe, roasted peanuts provide a palatable and delightful experience to our taste buds.

Bell Pepper Masala

Ingredients (4 servings)

  • Green Bell Pepper – 1 (cut into cubes)
  • Yellow Bell Pepper – 1 (cut into cubes)
  • Red Bell Pepper – 1 (cut into cubes)
  • Bay leaf -1
  • Cloves – 4-5
  • Pepper corns – 1 tsp
  • Green Cardamom – 2
  • Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder – ½ tsp
  • Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
  • Garam masala – ½ tsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • Oil – 1 tbsp
  • Coriander Leaves -1 tbsp (chopped)

For  Gravy-

  • Onion – 1
  • Tomatoes – 2
  • Garlic – 2-3  cloves
  • Green chilies – 3-4
  • Coriander seeds – 1 tbsp
  • Roasted Peanut Powder – 2 ½ tbsp

Method

  1. In a mixer grind onion, tomatoes, garlic, green chillies, coriander seeds and peanut powder to a paste.
  2. In a pan, heat oil on medium heat. Add bay leaf, cloves, cumin seeds, pepper corns and green cardamoms. Saute for a minute.
  3. Now add grinded mixture, mix well. Cook till oil starts leaving from the gravy.
  4. Add, Haldi powder, red chilli powder and garam masala, cook for a minute.
  5. Add water (depending upon the consistency you need). Mix it well.
  6. Add salt and let it come to a boil.
  7. Add bell pepper. Mix and let it cook for about 5-6 minutes.
  8. Bell pepper masala is ready to be served.
  9. Serve hot garnished with chopped coriander leaves.
